Happy Memorial Day everyone. I most definitely swam in memories this weekend. I'm sad that it's over and that I am so unprepared for the week ahead. Lordy.

Photo 1: lemon meringue pie.
Photo 2: pork chop, with grilled cauliflower and decorated with...purple flowers. What are the purple flowers? An herb of some sort? Rosemary?
Dear Anonymous,
Photo 1: Close! It's rhubarb meringue pie. I shall post the recipe if you want to try it. Highly recommended.
Photo 2: The cauliflower is actually twice-roasted and tossed with mint, sesame oil, chives and a little fish sauce. The pork chop was marinated in apple cider vinegar, sesame oil, honey, garlic, and ginger, then topped with a kind of relish made from those ingredients. The purple flowers are chive blossoms. Pretty, aren't they? My favorite thing of spring.
Very ingenious, Annie...and I bet luscious.Dad
So did you decide to eat only Mickey D's this summer? Where are the posts lady?? ;)
